A Salute to Local Good Samaritans

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, get to know the Lazarus House Ministries a little better. Since opening its doors as an emergency homeless shelter in 1983, this incredible organization has been breaking the cycle of poverty in the Merrimack Valley.

At last week’s Tenant Fest, we donated turkeys for every person who attended as well as a collection of canned goods that was gathered at the event. Food programs, like this one, combine with clothing drives to assist local families in need by stretching their dollars so they can afford rent, heat and utilities. Plus, they have housing initiatives that provide a safe haven for homeless families and individuals.

The Lazarus House Ministries has also developed an extensive learning environment that provides ESOL, work prep classes and training to help guests become self-reliant and take the first step toward a successful, independent future.

We are thankful to be part of such a special group of men and women making a positive difference in the lives of those around them. If you’d like to learn more or donate to the Lazarus HouseMinistries, click here to explore their site and discover volunteer opportunities.
